Brandon focuses his practice on land use, litigation, and constitutional law. Brandon is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts, and the Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. Prior to joining Wright & Casey, P.A., Brandon helped secure land use entitlements for developers and property owners to include rezonings, comprehensive plan amendments, and compliance with environmental regulatory agencies. He represented private and public interests in enforcement proceedings, compliance actions, and land use appeals. Prior to law school, Brandon was the senior planner for the City of Winter Garden, Florida, where he reviewed development proposals, site plans, and development agreements. He has a master’s degree from the University of Florida in Urban and Regional Planning.

Brandon is also an experienced litigator. He defended law enforcement officers and agencies in § 1983 civil rights actions alleging violations of the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution, including allegations of excessive force. false arrest, and wrongful death. He has represented individuals and corporations in various commercial litigation matters to include construction defects, contract disputes, personal injury, probate litigation, and trademark violations. Prior to moving into civil litigation, Mr. Byers was a public defender and prosecutor in Indiana and Florida, representing the government or defendant in major felony crimes. Brandon graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law with honors.
